My paintings give color and physical form to the parts of us that refuse to disappear.

They’re bold, layered worlds filled with saturated color, sweeping movement, rich texture, hidden details, and the feeling that something unexpected is about to happen.

I create mixed-media paintings using oil, spray paint, handmade tissue paper, gestural marks, and real dried flowers and leaves. Some of the botanicals are gathered during my walks and travels, then pressed and embedded directly into the surface. They’re often easy to miss at first. Once discovered, they reveal that the natural world isn’t simply represented in the painting—it has become part of it.

My process is quick, intuitive, and physical. I build each surface in layers, responding to what appears instead of following a rigid plan. Near the end, I’ll often make one final sweeping mark across the painting.

It’s the moment with the most risk.

​

That gesture could disrupt everything I’ve built, but it can also be what brings the painting fully alive. It feels daring, liberating, and completely true to the way I work.

I’ve always followed my own path. Living in Lebanon and Mexico, traveling solo around the world, and earning a master’s degree in Chinese Medicine taught me to pay attention to the places where I can stop performing and become more fully myself.

​

I’m fascinated by how a place can make the body soften, wake up, or become more alert.

​

Nature is where I can exhale from expectation.

​

When I’m climbing a mountain, swimming in a cold spring, or walking through the woods, I don’t have to perform for anyone. I become curious, alert, embodied, and open to another way of seeing.

That freedom enters my landscapes

They aren’t literal records of specific places. They’re alternate realities where color is heightened, the familiar becomes strange and beautiful, and the viewer can step outside the noise of ordinary life. Real leaves and flowers keep these imagined places rooted in something living.

​

The women in my paintings carry that same freedom.

​

They’re glamorous and wild at heart. They drive convertibles along the coast, wear brilliant colors, follow their curiosity, and seem completely at home inside themselves. They aren’t waiting for permission or wondering whether they’re too much.

They embody the freedom that comes from no longer arranging yourself around other people’s expectations.

The freedom I experience in nature becomes the freedom embodied by the women I paint.

Both bodies of work come from my desire to create places where people can speak in their own voice, trust their instincts, and take up space without performing for anyone else.

​

Each painting is my way of saying:​ I’m here. This is what I’ve created.
